How this works
Inkclip carries ten more small tools for one job each: turn a video into a GIF, get a GIF back out as a video, resize or crop or trim a clip, shrink a file down to fit somewhere, change its speed or play it backward, or burn in a subtitle file you already have. Every one of them runs the same way: on your own device, with no account, and no watermark on anything you download.
Every tool decodes and processes your file using your browser’s own built-in video and image support. There is no server in between and no upload step. The auto-captioner is the one exception worth naming: the first time you use it on a given device, it downloads a small speech-recognition model (about 30 seconds to a minute, once); after that, it runs from the cached copy. Every other tool needs no download at all. Files stay in your browser’s memory for the length of your visit and are never sent anywhere or stored by Inkclip.
Most of these tools accept both a GIF and a video file, because they share one underlying engine. Pick whichever tool matches the change you want, and the output comes back in the same format you put in.
Frequently asked questions
Is this really free?
Yes. Inkclip is supported by ads, not by watermarks, sign-ups, or a daily usage limit.
Do you store my files?
No. Files are processed on your device and are never uploaded, copied, or kept by Inkclip in the default mode every tool runs in. The privacy policy states exactly what does and does not leave your device, tool by tool.
Do I need to create an account?
No. There is no login anywhere on the site. Pick a file, do the job, download the result.
Will this work on my phone?
Most of it, yes: about half of the people who use tools like these are on a phone. A small share of older or less common browsers are missing a feature these tools need; when that happens, the page tells you plainly instead of failing silently, and the other tools on the site still work.
Can I use the output from one tool in another without starting over?
Yes. Once a file is loaded, every tool sits on a bar beside your result, and the ones that cannot use it are dimmed, with the reason. Choose one and it picks up from that same result. Your file stays put the whole time, so you never have to download and re-upload between tools.
